7 Days, 6 Nights. Visit the two islands, where the scenery of the Volcanoes and the wineries makes them unique amongst the other islands. Pico Island has the tallest mountain of Portugal with an elevation of 7713' and it's considered the youngest island of the Azores for its many young lava flows and another reason why this island is not a beach destination. Faial, famous for its Marina and paintings, a former port for ships on transatlantic routes between Europe and the Americas. This island is an obligatory stop for yachtsmen and sailors.
Day 1 - Pico
Arrival and transfer service from the airport to hotel. Spend 3 nights in Pico with breakfast included.

Day 2 - Pico | Full day Pico
Meet your driver/guide at the lobby of the hotel for a full day tour of the second largest island of the Azores. One of the greatest views during this tour will definitely be the amazing Pico Mountain. The characteristics black volcanic rocks are used to build houses and walls in a distinctive fashion. Pico was, in the past, an important whaling station. The museum will give an idea how islanders took to the seas in open boats during that period. Nowadays, whales are the pearls of the ocean and one of the most beautiful attractions. This Island is also part of the UNESCO World Heritage due to the many acres of vineyards encircled by small, black volcanic rock walls to protect them from the salt winds and to collect extra heat. No lunch included. Return to the hotel.
Day 3 - Pico
Enjoy exploring town on this free day.
Day 4 - Pico/ Faial | Half day City tour
Meet your driver/guide at the lobby of the hotel to be transferred to the harbor for a 30 minutes ferry trip from Pico to Faial. Transfer from the harbor to the hotel in Faial.
Early in the afternoon, your guide will meet you at the lobby for a Half Day City Tour, a guided walking tour through the streets and history of Horta.
Day 5 - Faial | Full day Tour
Meet your driver/guide at the lobby for your Full Day Island Tour. Enjoy this tour through the mountain road overlooking the Valley of Flamengos, toward Caldeira, the highest point on the island. Continue north to Capelinhos, site of the last volcanic eruption in the Azores, that occurred in the years of 1957-58 which added 2 square km to this island. The earthquakes and ashes destroyed much of the west side of the island prompting many islanders to immigrate to North America and from where many now come to visit again or just to see where their families came from. During the tour, a visit to the Center of Interpretation of the volcano Capelinhos will show how all happened (subject to business hours)
Day 6 - Faial
Free day to explore the city of Horta and enjoy its famous Marina
Day 7 - Faial
Time to say farewell. Meet your driver/guide at the lobby of the hotel and transfer to the airport.

Just an 8 minute walk from the beach, The Pousada Forte da Horta is set in a 16th century fortress with a view of Horta Bay and Pico island. This Pousada features air conditioned rooms, a swimming pool, and a regional restaurant. Most of the rooms offer a view of the marina.
Classified as a National Monument since 1947, the Pousada Forte da Horta offers modern rooms with cable TV and a minibar. Each private bathroom is stocked with a hairdryer and bathrobe.
A breakfast buffet is served daily on the poolside veranda terrace. Guests may taste fried pork, tuna and passion fruit pie in Pousada Forte da Horta’s restaurant.
The swimming pool area is furnished with sun beds, tables and parasols. Indoors, there is a lounge with various seating areas and a bar with a piano.
