A family friendly action-packed holiday. This is a package for the whole family to enjoy. You will have the opportunity to view the volcanic complex of Sete Cidades and enjoy views over the lakes where you will have the chance to canoe, paddle board and cycle. To add to this experience you will be able to enjoy a whale watching trip to discover some of the marine wildlife of the Azores Islands followed by the unique opportunity of snorkeling in the volcanic crater of Vila Franca Islet. Itinerary

Day 1- Arrival

Arrival and transfer to the hotel where you'll stay for the next 6 nights. Balance of the day free.

Day 2 - Whale and dolphin watching (HD) Duration: 3 hours

Duration: 3 Hours No transfers included. During this activity you will have the opportunity to watch some of more than 25 cetacean species that can be found in the Azores. Although nature offers no guarantees, whales and dolphins are regularly seen during our full day tours, along with turtles, seabirds and other marine life. Before the boat trip our biologists give you a briefing to explain which cetacean species can be observed, safety measures aboard, how we respect the animals and rules of observation at sea as well as some historical facts. During the tour each passenger is required to wear a life vest (except on our catamaran). Free afternoon.

Day 3- Van Tour Fire Lake (HD) Duration: 3.30 hours

Meet the guide at the hotel. In this tour, you'll be visiting the highest lake located in the center of this island, going up the road surrounded by centennial trees till reaching the top where vegetaion becomes a bit sparse till you meet the Lake at the bottom of the crater. Return to the hotel.

Day 4-Jeep Tour Sete Cidades & Lakes (FD) Duration: 7 hours

Meet the guide at the hotel. This jeep tour will bring mesmerizing scenarios, fun and energy to your day. A combination of dirt and country roads will meet at a small village by the peninsula looking at the lake and in within a few minutes drives more lakes will appear with all its beauty surrounded by all the green colors so caracteristic of the island. Return to the hotel.

Day 5- Van Tour Furnas (FD) Duration: 8 hours

This day is to rest your legs and just have a few walking during this tour to Furnas. The valley of Furnas is one of the largest thermal hydropolis in the world, rich in iron, sulphur waters that sprout a bit everywhere to be tasted and have the experience of touch (always follow the guide recommendations, do not touch boiling water or mud). There's a trail of gold left behind from the rusty streams, a gothic chapel by the lake, a constant whisper from the fumeroles and geysers, and the most magnificent botanical Garden as part of this tour. The famous cozido das Furnas, a meal cooked underground by the heat of the volcano, is included. This meal consists in a variety of vegetables and meats.

Day 6 - Swimming with dolphins - (HD) Duration: 2:30 hours

Imagine yourself floating in the deep blue ocean of the Atlantic, watching and hearing dolphins in their natural habitat. Learn more about the species, enjoy the ocean and find yourself on this invigorating trip! Before the trip we provide a general presentation about: the dolphin species, how to swim with dolphins responsibly in the wild, how to use a mask and snorkel, rules and how to behave around the dolphins and safety measures aboard.

Take this day to rest and explore downtown or add any other activity, please contact us for prices and reservations.

Activities are subject to weather conditions therefore the order of the itinerary may be altered.
Two half days activities can be combined in on full day according to availabilities.
Bring comfortable light clothes, sweater, raincoat, walking boots or shoes, swimming suit and towel, hat, sunblock, backpack and bottle of water to refill.

We don't book Seat Assignments. This service has an extra cost and needs to be done by the client with the airline directly after the tickets have been issued.
Day tours can be scheduled in a different order due to services organization.
Dates shown are for tour land departure. If you are taking an overnight flight to reach the tour departure city plan to book your flight one day earlier than date shown on table
Rates do include inter island Airfare as per the program.
Some Triple rooms can have the 3rd person on an extra bed that may not be too comfortable for an adult.

Booking your vacation

Early booking is advised. Availability of accommodations and inter-island flight is limited especially in summer months
If hotels named in itinerary are not available at time of booking, alternate similar same rating properties will be confirmed, and subject to new quote.
Order of islands visited may need to be altered due to flight schedule changes
Unless otherwise indicated, sightseeing tours are by private car with English speaking driver. Other languages are available upon request
Quotations with different hotels have a non refundable deposit of $50. Deposit will be credited towards final booking price

Booking your Vacation with Air

International airfare for this package is additional to price shown on Rates table. Departure cities are limited to those serviced by SATA International (Azores Airlines)

A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of $350 per person per vacation is required to book and hold space for you
Final payment is due 45 days before departure
Option to pay full price up front is available

Cancellation Policy - Land Portion

$350 per person if canceled up to 45 days from day of departure
25% of total reservation if canceled 15 to 45 days from day of departure
50% of reservation if canceled 7 to 14 days from day of departure
No refunds if canceled less than 7 days or less from date of departure

Booking Changes

A fee of $35 per person, per transaction, will be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed.
If the change increases the value of the booking, the $35 per person fee will be waived

Ponta Delgada - Hotel Ponta Delgada

Hotel Ponta Delgada is centrally located and only a 10-minute drive from the airport. Hotel Ponta Delgada features a family ambiance and comfortable furnishings. It features an indoor pool.

Air-conditioned rooms all open out on to a private balcony and are fitted with double-glass windows. All rooms include a TV set with cable channels and private bathrooms with walk-in shower or bathtub. Free WiFi access is available in all areas of the hotel.

The Ponta Delgada’s Baco Restaurant offers authentic cuisine from the Azores. The hotel’s bar has an esplanade, where guests can enjoy a refreshing drink or cocktail.

Guests can stroll in the narrow streets of the city center. Alternatively, they can dip in the hot tub or relax in the on-site hammam and sauna.
